Underground service upgrade works – Cleveland-Redland Bay Road

The Department of Transport and Main Roads advises that works to relocate underground power mains in conjunction with upgrades will be continuing along Cleveland-Redland Bay Road, north of Magnolia Parade, Victoria Point, from Sunday 26 May 2024 for up to five nights, from 7pm to 5am Sunday to Thursday, weather and construction conditions permitting. The relocation will be completed by Energex.

Motorists can expect temporary changed traffic conditions during night works, with traffic control directing road users, where required. Residents can expect short-term impacts including increased noise, dust and construction workers in the area. To ensure safety, site lighting will be used along with flashing lights and audible reversing alarms on vehicles and machinery.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads advises that works to relocate underground power mains will be undertaken in conjunction with upgrades. The relocation will be completed by Energex.

The relocation will improve the network along Cleveland-Redland Bay Road, between the existing Energex Substation (eastern side, north of Magnolia Parade) and Clay Gully Road (western side). Access to properties will be maintained, however some driveways along Cleveland-Redland Bay Road may be affected. Energex’s works contractor will contact affected property owners before any changes occur.

Works will occur from Monday to Friday, between 7am and 5pm, with night works required between 7pm and 5am for up to five nights from Monday 15 April 2024, weather and construction conditions permitting.
