Road Maintenance Works Cunningham Highway, Raceview / Flinders View

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) would like to advise that works will take place westbound on the Cunningham Highway exit ramp to Swanbank Road, Raceview.
While works are underway, a detour will be required for one night.
These works are being undertaken as part of TMR’s routine maintenance program to improve the road surface and enhance road safety for all road users.
Work activities
- Shoulder repair works on exit ramp.
Timing
- Works will take place late July 2024 and are expected to take one night to complete, construction and weather conditions permitting.
- Typical construction hours will be from 8pm to 5am, Sunday to Friday. Night works are required for road user safety, and to avoid what would otherwise be extensive traffic queuing and disruption to the road network.
- While most of the works will be undertaken at night, some Saturday or other out of hours works during the day may be required.
- While works are underway, access to the Cunningham Highway exit ramp to Swanbank Road will be detoured for one night between 9pm and 5am.
- Westbound traffic on the Cunningham Highway will be detoured as follows:
- Traffic will continue southbound and take the Ipswich Boonah Road exit ramp, then continue onto the intersection and head right towards Warwick Road.
- From here traffic will turn right for the Cunningham Highway and keep left for the eastbound entry ramp onto the Cunningham Highway.
- Traffic will then continue eastbound on the Cunningham Highway and take the South Station Road exit ramp to head in the respective direction.
- Westbound traffic on the Cunningham Highway will be detoured as follows:
Expected impacts
- Changed traffic conditions: Temporary traffic detours, lane and road closures, temporary speed limit reductions and short-term traffic disruptions. Please allow extra time when planning your travel and follow the directions of roadside signage and traffic controllers.
- Temporary construction noise: Heavy machinery will be in use, nearby residents and businesses can expect increased noise, dust and odour. Reversing beepers and flashing lights will be used for safety.
On completion, TMR officers will continue to review the site for up to three months. During this time TMR will assess the work undertaken for longevity and quality.
Every effort will be made to minimise impacts on the local community and surrounds.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) would like to advise that road pavement works will take place outbound on the Cunningham Highway entry ramp from Swanbank Road, Flinders View / Raceview.
While works are underway, a detour will be required for one night.
These works are being undertaken as part of TMR’s routine maintenance program to improve the road surface and enhance road safety for all road users.
Work activities
- Removal and replacement of asphalt.
- Reinstatement of line marking.
Timing
- Works will take place late March 2024 and are expected to take one night to complete, construction and weather conditions permitting.
- Works will be undertaken at night between 8pm and 5am, Sunday to Friday, however some Saturday or additional out of hours works may be required. Night works are necessary for road user safety, and to avoid what would otherwise be extensive traffic queuing and disruption to the road network.
- While works are underway, access to the Cunnigham Highway will be detoured for one night between 9pm and 5am:
- Detours: Southbound access to the Cunningham Highway from Swanbank Road will be detoured as follows:
- Traffic travelling from either South Station Road or Swanbank Road will be detoured northbound onto the Cunningham Highway to follow the detour to Redbank Plains Road. Traffic will then use Redbank Plains Road to make their way back southbound onto the Cunningham Highway.
- Detours: Southbound access to the Cunningham Highway from Swanbank Road will be detoured as follows:
