WHAT WORKS ARE COMING UP?

Council will be repairing the pavers along Albert Street between Burnett Lane and Adelaide Street in early April 2025.

WHEN WILL THIS WORK TAKE PLACE?

Works will occur on Friday 4 April from 11pm to 7am, Saturday 5 April from 11pm to 7am and Sunday 6 April from 9pm to 5am weather and site conditions permitting.

Council is scheduling the works mindful of businesses and residents and trying to minimise impacts as much as possible.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME?

You may experience some noise, vibration, or dust during the repair activities. Our team will make every effort to minimise disruptions.

There will also be access changes as follows:

• Vehicle access into Albert Street and Burnett Lane via Adelaide Street will be closed between 11pm Friday 4 April to 5am Monday 7 April.
• During these times, vehicles will be able to enter and exit Burnett Lane via George Street.
• Pedestrian access into Albert Street and Burnett Lane will be maintained during the works times.
• Traffic controllers will be in place at both ends of Burnett Lane, and the Adelaide Street entrance to Albert Street, to safely manage vehicle and pedestrian movements.
• Vehicle access will be reinstated from 5am Monday 7 April.

WHAT DOES THIS WORK INCLUDE?

As part of these works, we will be removing sections of damaged paving and replacing with new paving. The vehicle closure will allow repairs and curing to occur.

A fenced worksite will remain onsite during the works.

WHERE WILL THE WORKS BE?

We will be replacing sections of pavement throughout the area marked in red below.

WHY IS THIS WORK HAPPENING?

These maintenance works allow Council to continue to provide quality pavement surfaces within the Queen Street Mall.
