Maintenance Closure – Inner City Bypass (ICB) westbound Breakfast Creek tunnel

Just like your car needs a service, we conduct routine maintenance on our roads. In mid June, we will be completing pavement maintenance on the Inner City Bypass (ICB) westbound at Breakfast Creek tunnel, requiring a full westbound carriageway closure to safely complete the works.

Works will take place on Monday 17 June and Tuesday 18 June, from 9pm to 5am each night. We’ll try to minimise disruption to motorists so you can still get where you’re going – but change to your travel is going to be required during this work.

Traffic changes

To get these works done quickly and safely, the following closure and detours will be in place from Monday 17 June and Tuesday 18 June, from 9pm to 5am each night.

• ICB westbound Breakfast Creek tunnel closed
• Detour in place via Breakfast Creek Road, Edmonstone Street, Thompson Street and Allison Street, before turning back onto ICB westbound at Abbotsford Road, Bowen Hills
• Access will remain open on ICB westbound from Abbotsford Road west

If weather stops us from working, we’ll be sure to let you know and continue on the next available shift.
