Butterfield Street Herston, Pavement and Geotechnical Investigations

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will be undertaking pavement and geotechnical works at 35 Butterfield Street Herston for two days in mid-March 2024. Investigation works include evaluating the condition of the existing pavement and soil.

Work activities

• Excavation of pavement and subgrade materials using an excavator.

• Materials sampling and testing.

• Compacting fill to reinstate the excavation hole.

Timing

• Construction hours will be from 6am to 6pm mid-March 2024, resources and weather conditions permitting.

Expected impacts

• Nearby residents and businesses can expect to experience short term impacts including increased noise and vibration from construction equipment and activities onsite.

• For the safety of the public, exclusion zones will be setup around the construction equipment whilst the investigation works are underway.
