Investigation Works – Wardell Street and Pickering Street, Enoggera

Upcoming site investigation works at the Wardell Street and Pickering Street intersection, Enoggera

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) would like to advise that site investigations will be undertaken at the Wardell Street and Pickering Street intersection Enoggera, from late February 2024 to early March 2024.

These site investigations will inform design and construction of an intersection upgrade that will improve safety for road users and pedestrians.

Work activities:

  • Surveying, including topographic mapping, elevation and slope analysis, boundary identification and mapping.
  • Pot holing, a technique used to identify the exact location of existing underground services such as pipes.

Timing:

  • Works will commence in late February 2024 and end in early March 2024, site and weather conditions permitting.
  • Typical hours will be 7pm to 5am, Monday to Friday and Sunday.

Expected impacts:

  • Nearby residents and businesses can expect short term impacts including noise from machinery, dust and vibration.
  • Full closure of the on ramp to Wardell Street (south bound) may be required. Please observe the direction of detour and other signage and traffic control devices.
  • Reversing beepers and flashing lights will be used at all times during work for safety.
  • Access to private properties and businesses will be maintained during the works. Where temporary access changes are required, property and business owners will be contacted directly.

Every effort will be made to minimise impacts on the local community and surrounds.

For more information on this work, please contact the Project Team by emailing metropolitanregion@tmr.qld.gov.au or call 3066 4338 during business hours.

TMR appreciates your patience and cooperation while these important works are carried out.
