Night works – investigation works

Newmarket Road, Cox Road and Green Terrace, Newmarket

We will be undertaking survey and investigation works at the intersection of Newmarket Road, Cox Road and Green Terrace in Newmarket, to help inform a potential future upgrade in the area.

These works are scheduled to take place intermittently from Monday 29 April to Wednesday 1 May 2024, weather and site conditions permitting. Night works will be between 7pm and 5am. In the event of bad weather, works will be scheduled on the next available night.

These investigation works will be undertaken at night when traffic volumes are lowest to ensure the safety of workers and road users and to minimise traffic disruption. Lane closures will also be required. Please follow the direction of traffic control.

If you live in or are travelling through the area, you may see surveyors, notice increased noise and lighting from equipment and experience minor delays.

Noisy works such as road/saw cutting and drilling holes will be carried out prior to 11pm at night, where possible.

Council will make every effort to minimise disruption to the local community.
