What works are coming up?

Overnight lane closures on South Pine Road, Everton Park are required to provide essential Energex electrical connections as part of the New Everton Park Library project. The closures will occur intermittently for one night on Thursday 7th December 2023, weather and site conditions permitting.

When will this work take place?

Time and day From 8pm to 5am, Thursday 7th December 2023

Works completion is dependent on weather and site conditions. Should works not go ahead on the night, works will be undertaken by Energex on the next available night.

Where will the works be?

Works will be carried out in both directions along South Pine Road between Gearside Street and Sizer Street.

What does this work include?

Construction activities will include the installation of overhead electrical cables to connect to the new library facility.

Traffic changes and road closures

Traffic management will be in place in both directions to hold and release traffic around the works area to ensure the safety of motorists, cyclists and pedestrians through the work area.

Please travel carefully and follow the directions of traffic controllers on site.

What does this mean for me?

• Traffic control: speed limits will be reduced in the area. Motorists can expect changes to traffic flow and short-term traffic disruptions. Traffic controllers will be on site to direct traffic.
• Noise, increased lighting and possible minor vibration from the construction activities. For safety reasons, reversing beepers and flashing lights will be used at all times during work hours.
