Civil and drainage works Redland Bay Road roundabout, Thornlands

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) would like to advise that civil and drainage works will be undertaken on the Redland Bay Road and Boundary Road roundabout, Thornlands.

Work activities

• Civil works including kerb and channel repairs.
• Drainage works.

Timing

• Works will commence early May 2025 and are expected to take three weeks to complete, weather and construction conditions permitting.
• Typical construction hours will be from 7pm to 5am, Sunday to Friday. Night works are required for road user safety, and to avoid what would otherwise be extensive traffic queuing and disruption to the road network.
• While most of the works will be undertaken at night, some Saturday or other out of hours works during the day may be required.

Expected impacts

• Changed traffic conditions: Temporary traffic changes will be in effect including road shoulder closures, lane closures with traffic control, changes to traffic flow, speed reductions and short-term traffic disruptions. Please allow extra time when planning your travel and follow the directions of roadside signage and traffic controllers.
• Temporary construction noise: Heavy machinery will be in use and nearby residents and businesses can expect some increased noise, dust and odour. Reversing beepers and flashing lights will be used for safety.
