Asphalt works

We are pleased to advise that construction is nearing completion for the Bay Terrace and Chestnut Street black spot project.

We will be completing asphalt works on Thursday 7 September 2023, between 7pm and 5am. In the event of wet weather, works will take place on the next available night.

Residents nearby to the works will experience some increased lighting and noise from machinery operating throughout the night/morning, along with low levels of vibration and odour from the asphalt. Due to workplace health and safety requirements, reversing beepers cannot be switched off.

Following the completion of the asphalt works, line marking and threshold treatment works will be undertaken at night, between 7pm and 5am.
