Pavement and ancillary works Rosewood Marburg Road, Tallegalla

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) advises that pavement and ancillary works will be undertaken on Rosewood Marburg Road between Schubels Road and Tallegalla Road, Tallegalla.

These works are being undertaken as part of TMR’s maintenance program to improve the road surface and enhance road safety for all road users.

Work activities

  • Ancillary works.
  • Pavement works.
  • Reinstatement of line marking.

Timing

  • Works will commence early March 2024 and are expected to take approximately three days to complete, weather and site conditions permitting.
  • Typical construction hours will be from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, however some Saturday or additional out of hours works may be required.
  • Works will take place in the following stages:
    • Ancillary works: Comprising of edge break and crack sealing will take place in multiple locations along Rosewood Marburg Road between Schubels Road and Tallegalla Road, Tallegalla.
    • Pavement works: These works will specifically involve spray sealing to enhance the road surface. Works will take place along Rosewood Marburg Road between Schubels Road and Tallegalla Road, Tallegalla.
  • Final line marking works to improve the reflectivity and longevity of the road line marking will be applied approximately six weeks after the completion of the pavement works to allow for adequate curing.

Expected impacts

  • Changed traffic conditions: Temporary traffic changes include, road shoulder and lane closures, roadworks speed limit reductions and short-term traffic disruptions. Please allow extra time when planning your travel and follow the directions of roadside signage and traffic controllers.
  • Temporary construction noise: Nearby residents and businesses may experience short term increases in noise, dust, and odour during the works. Reversing beepers and flashing lights will be used on vehicles for safety.
  • Access to private properties: Access to private properties will be maintained during the works. Where temporary access changes are required, property/business owners will be contacted directly.

On completion, TMR officers will continue to review the site for up to three months. During this time TMR will assess the work undertaken for longevity and quality. In some cases, TMR may need to request further work at the location to rectify any defects.

Every effort will be made to minimise impacts on the local community and surrounds.
