Night works

We will be undertaking survey and investigation works at the intersection of St Pauls Terrace, Gipps Street and Kennigo Street in Fortitude Valley, to help inform a potential future upgrade in the area.

These survey works are scheduled to take place intermittently from Monday 5 February to Thursday 8 February 2024, weather and site conditions permitting, between 7pm and 5am. In the event of bad weather, works will be scheduled on the next available nights.

These works are required to be undertaken at night when traffic volumes are lowest to ensure the safety of workers and road users and to minimise traffic disruption. Lane closures will also be required. Please follow the direction of traffic control.

If you live in or are travelling through the area, you may see surveyors, notice increased noise and lighting and experience minor delays. Noisy works such as road/saw cutting and drilling holes will be carried out prior to 11pm at night, where possible.

Council will make every effort to minimise disruption to the local community.
