
Partial Road Closure – Fitzroy Street & Bedarra Crescent, Burpengary East
PARTIAL ROAD CLOSURE – MERRY STRICKLAND CHRISTMAS
The Burpengary Community Association wishes to advise that the annual “Merry Strickland Christmas” lights display will be taking place again this year from 12 Bedarra Crescent, Burpengary East.
This year a traffic management plan will be implemented during the busiest period to assist traffic management and the increase of people to the area. Please see further date details below.
The city of Moreton Bay Council has approved the lights to take place and we will make every effort to minimise any disruption as a result of the lights display.
Light display details are as follows;
EVENT DETAILS:
➢ Lights will be switched on from 5:30pm – 10:30pm each night from 20th November 2023 through till 1st January 2024.
➢ A traffic management plan will be implemented on Saturday 9th December 2023 until Sunday 24th December 2023
➢ Traffic will be one way only turning onto Fitzroy street, from Stradbroke street, then a right turn from Fitzroy street onto Bedarra Crescent
➢ ‘Side road closed’ signs will be installed for the left turn onto Bedarra Crescent off Stradbroke at both entrances
➢ A traffic controller will maintain controlled access for all residents while the traffic management plan is in place
➢ Designated parking has been arranged at the following locations;
- North Harbour-Edge learning day care centre (1 Fraser drive, Burpengary East)
- The North Harbour Sales Office (40 Brook Crescent, Burpengary East)
- Display Centre (42 Brook Crescent, Burpengary East)
