CANCELLED Centenary Bridge, Sinnamon Road Off-Ramp Closure (southbound)

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) advises the Sinnamon Road off-ramp southbound on the Centenary Motorway, Jindalee will be closed temporarily from 8pm on Friday 13 October to 5am on Monday 16 October 2023.

The closure is required for further geotechnical investigations within Amazons Place Park and beneath the Centenary Motorway to enable completion of sewer main works for the Centenary Bridge Upgrade. Construction crews will work round the clock to complete the works in a condensed timeframe and minimise impacts to the road network and the community.

Motorists wishing to exit the motorway will be diverted to the Seventeen Mile Rocks Road off-ramp, approximately 500m further south. Traffic control and variable message signage will be in place to direct motorists.

Timing:

• Sinnamon Road offramp southbound will be closed to traffic from 8pm Friday to 5am Monday for road user and worker safety.
• Single lane closure on the Centenary Motorway southbound between the Centenary Bridge and the off-ramp will be in place on the evening of 13 and 15 October 2023.

Expected impacts:

• Changed traffic conditions: Temporary traffic changes, including the off-ramp closure, southbound lane closure, roadworks speed limit reductions and short-term traffic disruptions will be in place. Please allow extra time when planning your travel and follow the directions of roadside signage and traffic controllers.
• Temporary construction noise: Heavy machinery will be in use and nearby residents and businesses may experience short-term impacts, including noise, flashing lights, dust, vibration and odour from construction equipment and activities on-site.
