Nominations are now open for the 2017 TCQ industry awards, which recognise and celebrate people who make outstanding contributions to improve the taxi industry.
There are awards in four different categories including Driver of the Year, Operator of the Year, Significant Achiever and Customer Service.
The Driver of the Year award is broken down into three separate categories including regional driver of the year, Yellow Cabs driver of the year and Black & White Cabs driver of the year.
Likewise, the Operator of the Year Award is divided into three categories - operators with up to 20 vehicles, those with 21-100 vehicles and operators with more than 100 vehicles. All are open to operators statewide.
“We have awesome people in our industry who work tirelessly every day for their local communities and they deserve our recognition,” said Taxi Industry Council of Queensland chief executive officer Blair Davies.
Closing date for nominations is Tuesday, October 31, 2017.
The awards will be presented at the TCQ industry awards dinner on Wednesday, November 22 at Easts Leagues club, Coorparoo.
