QBE CTP Premiums Quarter 4 2016
All of the QBE Qld CTP rates for this quarter have changed as a result of the introduction of the new NIISQ Levy (Qld’s version of the NDIS). The CTP premium component in each vehicle Class has actually reduced, however the addition of the new Levy shows an increase in the total payable for each Class.
If issuing a CTP Certificate before 01/10/2016 and it will not be presented to Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland Transport) until 01/10/2016 or later, then these new rates are to be applied.

Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources Committee (IPNRC) Public Hearing
Please be advised that the CEO of the Taxi Council Queensland will appear as a witness for the Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources Committee (IPNRC) public hearing on the Transport Legislation (Taxi Services) Amendment Bill 2015.
The hearing will be held on Wednesday 2 December 2015 in the Parliamentary Annexe, Brisbane and will be broadcast live and transcribed.

As you may be aware, Katter’s Australian Party (“KAP”) tabled the Transport Legislation (Taxi Services) Amendment Bill 2015 (“the Bill”) on 15 September 2015.
The Bill was referred to the Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources Committee (“IPNRC”) for review and the first of an anticipated two public hearings was held on 14 October 2015.
