Pavement Resurfacing Works – South Pine Road, Enoggera
Pavement resurfacing works – South Pine Road, Enoggera
The Department of Transport and Main Roads is undertaking pavement resurfacing works in both directions on South Pine Road, Enoggera in early October 2025.
These works are being undertaken as part of TMR’s maintenance program to improve the road surface for road users.
While works are underway, detours will be required.
Work activities
- Removal and replacement of asphalt.
- Reinstatement of temporary line marking.
- Final line marking.
Timing
- Works are scheduled to commence early October 2025 and are expected to take three weeks to complete, construction and weather conditions permitting.
- Typical construction hours will be from 8pm to 5am, Sunday to Friday. Night works are required for road user safety, and to avoid what would otherwise be extensive traffic queuing and disruption to the road network.
- While most of the works will be undertaken at night, some Saturday or other out of hours works during the day may be required.
- The works require dry weather conditions – if conditions are unfavourable, work will be undertaken at the next available opportunity.
- Final line marking works to improve the reflectivity and longevity of the road will take place approximately six weeks after the completion of works to allow for adequate curing.
Expected impacts
- Temporary traffic changes including detours, lane and road closures, single lane contraflow, temporary speed limit reductions and short-term traffic reductions.
- Access to Elkhorn Street and Staghorn Street will be via Orchid Street and Derby Lane for all directions.
- Please allow extra time when planning your travel and follow the directions of roadside signage and traffic controllers.
- Nearby residents and businesses can expect short-term impacts including increased noise, dust and odour.
- Reversing beepers and flashing lights will be used on vehicles for safety during working hours.
On completion, TMR officers will continue to review the site for up to three months. During this time TMR will assess the work undertaken for longevity and quality.
Every effort will be made to minimise impacts on the local community and surrounds.
TMR appreciates your patience while these important works are being carried out.
